Andrea | Edmonton & Red Deer Boudoir Photographers
I can't say how much I LOVE to see familiar faces coming back for another shoot. We did a boudoir shoot with Andrea last year, and this spring she is back for more. I wasn't sure we would be able to outdo the previous shoot, as Andrea totally rocked it! But, I think we got something completely different and 100% awesome. Thanks for coming out to another boudoir shoot Andrea. I hope to see you again sometime and I hope you love your sneakpeek!Truly,Karmen

Straight-Up-Stunning Miss S | Edmonton Boudoir
Miss S and I originally planned to do this shoot last November, but I had to cancel because of my last minute trip to Africa. We tried to reschedule several times and FINALLY we got to shoot this week! It was such a fun morning. Miss S was absolutely stunning and her Whyte Ave home was filled with a ton of character; both, added up to a unique and seriously, stunning shoot. Don't you think?! S, I hope you LOVE your sneak-peek. ENJOY!Truly,KarmenP.S. Thanks so much Dao Haddad for doing such a fantastic job on hair & make-up.

A Little Advice | Edmonton & Red Deer Boudoir
We are starting to get busy with Spring/Summer boudoir sessions and, as always, I am getting lots of ladies looking for advice on how to prepare and what to wear for their session. So I have decided to do a special post to help you all out!Lets start with PREPARATIONS.one: Wear loose clothing, you don't want a bunch of creases or the seam of your jeans pressed into your skin for the shoot!two: If you are getting your hair and make-up done just show up 'au natural'. One of our wonderful female stylists will make sure you look DROP-DEAD-GORGEOUS.And now, WHAT TO WEAR!Some of the best advice I can give is to bring outfits that express your personality or the feeling you want your shoot to emanate. Some examples: If you're Sweet & Romantic, you might want to try vintage inspired lace and/or pastel colours. If you're Simple & Sexy, try a good fitting bra and panty set or corset. Classy and timeless, black is always a great choice.
Don't be afraid to use 'Non-Lingerie'. I LOVE the look of a sheer top, button down shirt or off-the-shoulder sweater.
ACCESSORIZE! Some great things to think about bringing are: A pair of heels, we all know what a pair of heels does to our calves and bum!! Also, Scarves are a wonderful and unique way to cover-up. And what about Stockings? Sometimes little things like a pair of printed or lace tights can bring together a whole outfit. Last but not least, Jewelery. Necklaces, bracelets, earrings and headbands can all help bring your look together.
PROPS. Admittedly, not all props work. In my opinion, the simpler the better. Here are a couple examples of props that have worked!!
And last but not least, Barely There. There is something to be said for the simplicity and beauty of just skin.
So there you go, my thoughts on prep and outfits for you boudoir session. I hope that helps point you in the right direction. I have also made a Pinterest board FULL of lingerie ideas, you should definitely swing by and take a look. And if you are still feeling uncertain, just send me an e-mail and we can schedule a consult. XOXOTruly,Karmen
